The HCL Group of Companies recently hosted an Awards Ceremony for the St. James Children’s Carnival in the Atrium, Long Circular Mall. Among those attending were Deputy Mayor of Port of Spain, Mr. Rishi Lakhan, Chairman of the Arouca Carnival Development Commission, Mr. Donald Little, Associated Brands Representative, Mr. Peter Pitts Jnr. and senior officials of the National Carnival Commission.
Christine Francois, Assistant Manager, Group Corporate Communications for the HCL Group of Companies in addressing the gathering, was pleased to note that the HCL Group’s partnership with the St. James Working Council is an ongoing one, designed to facilitate the hosting of the annual St. James Children’s Carnival ,
The Children’s Carnival took place in and around one of HCL’s flagship projects, One Woodbrook Place, a new community that is expected to take its place within the “City that never sleeps”, St. James.
“As part of the Group’s corporate focus, the development of our youth through culture and sport stand out as one of the key areas for ongoing development,” said Ms. Francois.
Awards were presented to children in the categories: Girls and Boys, 2 Years and Under; Girls and Boys 3-6; Girls and Boys 7-11 and Girls and Boys 12-18.
