With 21 year’s experience in the business of Town Planning, Design and Property Development, Consultants PLANVIRON became part of the HCL Group some 15 years ago when its principal and founder Michael A. Fifi set about creating the HCL Group.

In the last 4-5 years, the company moved into all aspects of engineering consultancy, including Civil, Structural, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.

PLANVIRON’s primary focus is serving the considerable needs of the HCL Group, but has engaged in many projects outside the group, such as the infrastructure for a 700-unit housing estate for a major quasi-government agency. Non-Group projects account for 12-15% of PLANVIRON’s business, and the Company’s services have been retained in islands across the region including Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Grenada, Guyana, St. Lucia and Dominica.

As prime and sub-consultants to the public and private sectors, PLANVIRON is one of only 10 firms in the country offering a full range of planning, development and engineering consultancy services. The company is currently pursuing ISO certification, which should soon be achieved.

Given the buoyant construction market in Trinidad and Tobago, the business outlook for PLANVIRON is outstanding — in each of the past 5 years, its staff complement has grown, and the company intends to continue this trend in the year to come.
